A sprinkler system should not be considered as a one-off short-term expense as a part of the build, but as a long-term investment ensuring that the building is resilient to fire over its lifetime.  Over the lifetime of a warehouse larger than 2000m², the whole life costs will on average be 3.7 times lower in warehouses which have sprinkler systems installed.
